October 25, 2007

Happy Steps is a new travel blog by a travel bug named Carey. The blog name reminds me of the famous phrase by Confucius “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Yep, it begins with happy steps!

Happy Steps from the blogger herself:

A certified travel bug’s online haven for sharing the fun and adventure of going places, and seeing the world one happy step at a time!

My previous digicam was Sony.  I’ve grown to love it and was already familiar with the features and usage.  So one weekend when hubby and I were strolling inside the mall I saw this blue Sony digicam, I naturally liked it, blue being my favorite color.  I didn’t buy it though.

When my sister knew about it, she discouraged me and as usual promoted Canon to me again. She found out using Photoshop that pictures taken with a Canon 4megapixel cam has a higher resolution at 120 dpi compared to other cameras which only have 72 dpi for relatively the same number of megapixels.

So last Saturday, when I decided to buy a new cam I asked hubby to look for a blue Canon camera. Hehehe He found some models but they were of lesser quality. He was a bit amused that I was choosing based on the color.  Until he found the Canon PowerShot A640 whose features were far better than those compact size models. According to the review this camera is in close semblance to a SLR camera.
